Trapped Within
Trapped within
can't move on
stuck in a rut
want to give up
must go on
completing my journey.
Gut aching in hurt
with ill feelings
towards the human race.
Let down and dejected
feeling rejected
abandoning my own self.
Dying a slow death
in just existing
what is missing
that I can not see
feeling disconnected
to my own being.
Struggling in living
pain consumes me
depression lingers on
bittersweet in story
a brutal end.
Despair hung over
like a darkened cloud
in shadow covering light.
Hidden away
in private space
of comfort zone
trapped in the dark and light.
Winning the fight within in victory
a new perspective will begin
in freedom from sadness
no more.
