Trapped Near a Corner
Trapped, near a corner where someone told me to be
I think about why I want to be here, be now
to be hurt like this
they say it's love
I have no safe word,
no space to be heard
But I love it
is it too much?
My mother doesn't understand
what blank eyes she stares at me with
while she watches him hitting her instead of me.
She might later
take me away, I'm tired of this but it could be worse
to be with her is like a curse
she didn't want when
I was birthed
