Trapped In a Maze
Trapped in a maze of love and rage.
How did I get here? Afraid and vengeful. How do I escape?
Take the obvious path fight, destroy and defend or the road less traveled love, forgive and mend?
The task seems too daunting. The trail twisted. The way is blocked. The destination too far.
Take a breath. Feel it fill your lungs.
Slowly release it.
One breath at a time. You can do this.
The journey starts where it starts and ends where it ends – with a thought.
Only light can destroy the darkness. Be patient and persistent.
Shine the light of compassion on your thoughts.
Recognize them. Name them. Set them free.
You are always on the right path if you start and end with love and forgiveness.
