''Trapped and Scared''

Oh' to see the look on my mothers' face.
Can she see my dismay of disgrace?
Tell the world I'll be a new mother.
My only thought is how my family will suffer.
Young and alone, body still not fully grown.
Yet time,you insubordinate truth.
Lye the growth of fetus inside me.

The sadness and anguish this teen is experiencing comes through so well, Kacey. I think teen pregnancy is not regarded as shameful as it once was, but if I were in this girl's shoes, this is exactly how I'd feel. And that statistic is startling! Best wishes in Gwendolen's contest and thanks for saying you'll support my contest. It is truly my pleasure to read your poetry. Love, Carolyn
