Trapped

Blackness folding around me
In a never ending cloak
Blackness covers my senses
Locking in a world of night

Writhing in the prison black
My body twisted and wrong
A dim echo my soul
Tortured beyond flames of hell

Wracked with pain blindingly bright
Lancing though my fragile mind
Shattering my memories
Scattering all that I was

Empty husk drifts on a breeze
Life essence drain all away
So dry and desolate now
Not even my shadow left

Left helpless upon the wind
Adrift on eddies and gust
Trapped within my deep regret
Awaiting release and end
