Trapeze People

Trapeze artists wear two condoms at a time
When performing at great heights
You can never have too much protection
Jumping on thin lines from way up high
Flying in all directions with blindfolds on

Smoke cigarettes but don't play with matches
Leave dangerous acts to the professionals
Lead metal wings add to the attraction
Gravity is such a wondrous thing

Concrete nets are used to save on cost
The show must go on and so must they
The ground is calling
The crowds applauding
The baby is screaming so shut it up
Someone stuff a pacifier in its mouth

Trapeze people are fun to watch
Their feet never touch the ground
Thin lines between reality are stretched
God bless them everyone
When they come down

Interesting poem, I like the humour and the creative flair.

Hi W.A. Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. In all honesty I don't know any trapeze people. My neck hurts when I make the effort to look up too much but I do look up to them at a distance with respect when I can. Have a great day. Earl
