Transparent Me

Looking in through a window
of my home,
I see a transparent me
looking back.

Other windows across the room induce
a sudden attack of mortality.

Me, seeing me.
But nothing seems wrong.

The reflection is sincere and complete.
My past is my past
and nothing is meant to last for long.

But still,
the future is strong!

A legacy remembrance may be achieved
in a poem,
or a song.

So the most important thing
is to write,
or to sing.

THAT is strong!
