Transmutation
Familiar sights, patterned trajectories,
where I was a character in the dream,
responding therein spontaneously,
ignorant of wherefrom illusions stream,
thus knowing not things are not what they seem,
though lost in trance, wherein stooped was my stance,
took a small step back to witness life’s dance.
The movie continued, though I was still,
my consciousness polarised, so to speak,
witnessing my earth form trudging uphill,
watched by formless presence, humble and meek,
joyous dancing with Cupid cheek to cheek,
wherein mood and mode was celebration,
poised in the vibrant void of cessation.
Desires subsumed, the dream could not resume,
since silence ended the movement of thought,
so with the veil thinned, bliss began to zoom
and with no mind battles in my head fought,
I imbibed wisdom downloads God’s grace brought,
thus recalibrating my heart’s blink rate,
ushering wisdom that defies debate.
It came to pass that I as ego fell,
just as a withered leaf falls off a tree,
a story strange, which yet I dare to tell,
for God then appeared and He set me free,
no load on my chest, roaming earth carefree,
though yet in form, His light in heart aflame,
an epiphany mere words cannot name.
