Notes About The Poem

Transmutation

we woke up early one morn, ego shorn
it felt as though we were in form reborn

nodes within stirred, boundaries blurred
our head and heart, with love concurred

let me be in the heavens, where bells sound
calming energies, can’t hear my heart pound

I affirm it is nirvana, here within all knowing
reaffirming our love, one that keeps growing

a promise kept by me, with all of my devotion
quenched and non-discreet, infinite emotion

Quite an intriguing and serene take for the 'Transformation' contest, I'm loving these rhymes here which create a mellifluous flow. Your wordplay is spellbinding too.. "I affirm it is nirvana, here within all knowing reaffirming our love, one that keeps growing" This is my favorite part I think, beautifully knitted.. Best of luck for the contest :)

Quite an emotional and articulate composition, Anaya. Outstanding rhymes, overflowing with nuanced creativity...everyone must exercise self-control over their ego; it is our adversary.Best of success with the contest. You possess a linguistic ability that is equally tender and profound.
