Tranquil Are the Waters

There are ripples on the waters
That trail the white swan’s wake
Shimmering with sunbeams
Upon the golden lake

In jade and turquoise daydreams
Muses speak to me
They whisper on the waters
Lines of poetry

There are ripples on the waters
From the sleepy fledgling drakes
Resting in the moonlit gleam
That on the surface breaks

In pearl and silver nightdreams
My soul is floating free
For tranquil are the waters
When I feel that peace in me.
