When mind-blowing poverty is rife, People no longer have reason to care Or rise above self-perpetuating strife, Dusty trails often lead to nowhere Through the annals of a wasted life.

"dusty trails" - I feel like we have had these ever since Hilary did not lose the election, but lost the presidency due to the electoral college which I despise. Because it makes us a republic, not a democracy, as promised.

Excellent point, Caren. I feel that way, too. I think we should have a simple "one eligible voter--one vote" system and let the chips fall where they may. It's pretty clear to me where they would fall under such a system. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Unlike Donald Trump, who has declared bankruptcy six times, the poor have no relief from their debts because, without assets to protect, they can never declare bankruptcy. Stomping on the poor makes the wealthy proud! Aloha!
