Trailing Regret

Retracing my steps …
picking up the pieces
of a misguided past
Cleaning up the memories
that so litter my
attention
Given one more chance
to change
the things I never intended
Given one last chance
to right the wrongs
—of my prodigal ways

I feel this one, Kurt. Im glad its in the past where it belongs but I too sometimes look back. Looking through hindsight, it always looks different than it did at the time. Too bad wisdom is born of time.
