Trail of Tears

We were promised a good land, by the white man but he says we would have to travel far He says, we'd be better in the nations but none of us are certain, where they are The women and the children, they look tired and rumors that, sickness is around the spirits of our fathers, they have warned us That the dead upon this trail will abound We are weary and broken, but keep walking as our people bow their heads and start to weep at night we pull our blankets to our shoulders with one breath, we will find eternal peace
