Trail of Tears

Follow my trail of tears and you will find
the scattered pieces of my broken mind

I seem to have lost my grip on reality
and let go of the good part inside of me

My trail of tears leads to a place that is hollow
Filled with pain, emptiness and sorrow

The bitter cold will freeze your entire body to the core
And make your heart filled of rage never felt before

The tears I have spent so many nights crying
Are nothing compared to the eternally long days I have spent lying

About who I am and what I believe
There is no good dream left to achieve

The trail my tears leave is full of hurt
That I cannot envison a time when there weren't

Any tears stinging my eyes and staining my face
Longing lovingly for the purest, warmest embrace

My tears are falling fast and free
Taht I now know I can never be

Anything of significance to anyone
I am a book that has been read, I am done
