Tragedy of Love

Staring from the inside At the world that I've shut out. Locking all the doors To banish all the doubt. Blocking all the feeling And emotion from the brain; If Pandora's Box is opened All there is is pain. Not looking to the future And resisting what comes next; Not wanting to confront That love is such a mess. Looking from the inside At the turmoil that's within; I'm the only one at fault For what we could've been. The great tragedy of love Is that the pain is yet to come; And only in looking back Do we see what we've become.
