Tragedy In Black

Brittney Tyler
8/17/15

My life has become a living tragedy
Where once I stood proud and happy
I now hover in the shadows
Covered by a veil of black
Consumed in my jealousy
I was rainbows and butterflies before you
Now, everything is bleak
I have become a tragedy in black
Consumed by a carnal obsession
Drove mad by hurt and betrayal
Left broken and abandoned
My inner fire, extinguished
I sit and watch you move on from a distance
While I sit stuck inside the cage you trapped me in
Dark, Alone, and Broken

Everyone who knows me always tells me i'm just rainbows and butterflies all the time because of my general positive outlook on life, so I felt like I had to put it in there somewhere
