Travel on yet not far For winter is near Cold snow gusty winds Six horses and wagon Not long ago we were them Trudging through snow Today is so different We are weak and helpless Tricked by modern science With ease we drive a car No horses to feed or ride No more candles to make Just flip a switch We now talk to machines Water in bottles not in a creek No more cuddling by a fire or Food created by mans hands Now bought in a store and processed Amazing creations at what price Love is now a hidden word That no one knows its definition We have traded our love For these new creations Becoming lazy and placing love in 2nd place

There is such wisdom in your lines, Bobby! We have made trade-offs. And not understanding the essential role love plays in creating a full life is one of them. Thank you for sharing this precious insight.
