Tracks

I leave earthly traces of myself with each step I take. The tracks I put down, are guides that others can follow, or ignore. But within each track, I leave traces of myself, my witness to others. Lord, help me live my life in the shadow of the cross, living a totally surrendered life. For when my last breath is drawn, all that will remain are the tracks I’ve left that pointed another to you.

I thought your poem was very moving and thought provoking. We all hope, at least, most of us, hope we can teach someone something, or leave a trail of wisdom behind for someone else, and just a whisper of who we were. Keep up the good work-

Living life in the shadow of the cross, you're a pathfinder for those who will come after you; those who need help finding God. It's very beautiful.
