Tracing the Footprints of Togetherness
In the twilight hour we are by the window
Open to the horizon hues
And to the brushing breeze,
See the sky shimmer with the last glow
Of the setting spent sun,
Its flickering flare floods your face
Now flushing with the touch of love
We brought this far together.
We haven’t counted the steps
But the footprints unfaded
I see deep within my mind
Yours beside mine
Pacing all the way together
Where we are now
Under the serene shade of still time.
The silver shine of the amorous moon
Sprayed blue sparkles through the window slit
Spreading mystique ecstasy on your eyes
Forming a deep azure sea
In which I swam across time,
Reached the distant shore filled with your scent
Where my first red rose touched your lilac lips
And we made demure dreams together.
The dreams drove us
Where we are now
Under the sensuous shadow of lingering love.
