Been thinking about this theme a lot lately David Simply just tracing the life or pattern already set out. No deviations

A description of what it means to be human, and it seems that the same behaviors will be repeated indefinitely. Humans are recalcitrant when it comes to change. Even when it is to their greatest advantage. Even if it is more profitable, we choose security over difficulty. In my Fave. Good luck in the contest

Thank you for the Fave Lasaad, you just explained my poem better than I ever could, the dream is simply an ideal, not an absolute, as you wisely said our recalcitrant nature makes us err on the side of caution, hence preventing real change, cheers David

to me this signifies that we will always just keep repeating the things we always tend to do. Human nature. I like this a lot.

Human nature indeed Andrea, we need hindsight to change, but just to dream of changing ones past is doomed to failure, we will always revert back to this point, cheers David

Very profound David. I don't think I'd change much at all given the opportunity...maybe use a bit of blotting paper here and there. Good luck in Line's contest.

Thanks Gary, that is a fine testament to your contentment, but some paths, I would try to avoid, although I have an inkling like my poem suggests, it would not make any difference to the overall picture; for dreaming is not hindsight, cheers David

It made no difference Jenna, the same me, always emerged, I guess we only get one chance, but as long as we’re alive and free, we have the potential to dream, cheers David
