Towards the Pond

Birds flew among the old oak trees Savoring melody in the breeze. Last night, it rained hard and the air was cleared. Shining vivid leaves glistened, Few fell, colorful lawn. A small sweet deer ambled downwards the winding path. Towards a small clear pond it ambled in great awe My whole being at least a consolation hath, Seeing it have a bath and play and then it saw among floating leaves tadpoles in shimmering waves . . . beware the ducklings

Congratulations, Victor on your poem! It's wonderful to see animals play. I bet it's beautiful where you live. I like the way you explained the leaves bringing color to your lawn. This is an excellent poem! Peace, Angie

This is beautiful. I could see the deer walking down the forest path toward a beautiful pond for a drink and to play in the water. Great stuff. Reminded me of a film clip I saw online once of a deer in the forest. It didn't know anyone was around filming it and it kept running through a puddle just to make it splash. A sweet forest creature at play. Loved it. God Bless, JB
