Towards the Inevitable
Did you dance on
the porch this morning
avoiding the invisible
ice and the broken glass?
Could you see
through the smoky hat’s brim?
In your mind you climb clouds
like a resin rock wall
looking for a view
of a place beyond perplexity
Fingers squeeze
scraping the raincloud's face
Will you let their tears
surround your silhouetted trace
to wash your mind clear?
