Toward the Missing

Father had ills
couldn't even get up
not even eat
spoke properly
didn't go to the bathroom
She took care of him at home
for many years
without complaint
setting the dining table for seventy years
Today, after burying husband
first night
Mom lying in father's bed
fell asleep.
