Tough Love

I'll box your two ears into one Screamed a disheveled, distraught mum I do not think that can be done Quipped a grinning, impish son. And if you do it mommy dear And I then only have one ear. I'll have to turn each time you talk Or you will have to scream and squawk. Son, let me make it very clear So listen up so that you hear To what it is I have to say My nerves are all in disarray. The microwave in on the fritz The next door neighbors thrown a fit About a certain little boy That's you my precious pride and joy Please do not say that life's not fair As you march yourself up the stairs I need a moment to unwind Before I lose my bloody mind.

haha...Good one! Common scene, presented in a comic, albeit exaggerated nevertheless effective tale. A 7. Kim :)

Thank you so much. On rereading this piece, I saw just how autobiographical it is.
