Touched By An Angel
When despair held me in torment
And the road of life was spent
My every breath a fear
Amid dark puddles of tear
I never saw her dainty wings
Never heard them swing
When tragedy struck and the day was dim
The eclipsed sun had nothing in him
Grieving love long past
A name on the tomb so fast
I never saw her dainty wings
Never heard them swing
A shaken faith, no good reason
Aimless life season after season
A sublime love I felt near
A sparkling voice that grew higher
Drawing me from the depths of despair
Into fragrant, soft air
I never saw her dainty wings
Never heard them swing
And when the day was clear
A light heart past fear
She slowly let her wings flutter
And all that was left was some glitter
