Touched by an Angel

I was walking along the shoreline
the waves lapping at my feet,
The sun was just about set
the sky seemed sad
laden with gray clouds,
the sea was heaving heavily
beneath the brisk breeze.

There’s a sorrow settled in my heart
that’s weighing me down,
I fell on my knees
and buried my face in my hands.

Someone touched my shoulder
with a delicate hand,
the skin was milky white
and soft as silk,
I looked up into the most beautiful
pair of clear blue eyes
and a face radiating grace,
there was a winsome smile
hovering around the luscious lips...

I held onto the hand and stood up.
