Touched By a Moonbeam

Touched by a moonbeam Touched by a moonbeam with you I glide I can now drink from a well of stars staring out at this night’s friendly guide my spirit knows no more bounds. Touched by a moonbeam with you I glide your warm glow melts away my core drying up all tears in its outpour in your orbit I am now released; your presence pacifies my fears ripples back the years as my eyes search your face by this secret light, the light of the moon. Touched by a moonbeam with you I glide swiftly on this path of elation I crave your affection. Dawn its gift of light I bid delay a blissful encore I’m asking your way for a touch of eternity in your embrace I felt dear moon, dear friend, I’m touched by your graceful ballet the waning of your rays I beg you to stay, beg you to stay. - - - - - - - - - - - - - (orchestral part with soaring music) Touched by a moonbeam with you I glide swiftly on this path of elation I crave your affection. Dawn its gift of light I bid delay, a blissful encore I’m asking your way for a touch of eternity in your embrace I felt dear moon, dear friend, I’m touched by your graceful ballet the waning of your rays I beg you to stay, beg you to stay, beg you to stay, for a touch of eternity in your embrace I felt dear moon, dear friend I’m touched by your graceful ballet, the waning of your rays I beg you to stay beg you to stay.
note: Dear reader, I beg you to try and slow down your reading so that you can match the pace of the reading to the music. (I have tried to match my lines to form a lyrical piece. ?) The composer, by the way, is Brian Crain.

Oh Anne-Marie. Good Morning. I thank you for this posting and sharing. There are no words for this beauty and peace. It is exquisite. All of it. The words first then the musicality and that stunning image. This entry is what I call the total package. My favorite saying these days is "all I want is peace" You gifted that to me this morning. I thank you for that. You have touched this reader. Well done in every aspect Anne-Marie.

I am truly touched by your spirited review Lisa. To me, in poetry and music lies the soul of men, and each medium has the power to bind our threads together. I can't wait to read your next poem:)

Many thanks Zaynab for your kind comments, they are very much appreciated. I think that if men were more open to poetry and music from all over, the world would be a better place. I am thrilled that the 'Soup' has opened a window to a world beyond my backyard:)

We enter a world composed of reality, defused with imagination, where nature is a part of the experience. The moon’s so precious to our hearts, as to awe us with its beauty, and scare us with its fragility. The music touched the soul as the words touched the heart. Beautiful! Emile. #7

Emile, I am deeply touched by your eloquent review but I must honestly say that, backed by Brian Crain's composition and Yiruma's playing on the piano, I surely had a lot of help:)

Such an enchanting piece Anne-Marie. You have captured the essence of the evening and sprinkled it with love and desire. This reads like it should be a show tune, the theme song for a musical production on stage. I really enjoyed reading this today, you did a beautiful job.

Chris, thank you for this generous comment that goes straight to my heart. I so wish I could write for a musical production; that would be an amazing experience.:)
