Torture of the Soul

When I asked you, you said yes, I bore my heart, and you said yes, I gave my soul, and you said yes, I built our life, and you said yes. Now you tell me you never wanted this, Always find a way to sabotage yourself, You say you want space from me, And you fill that space with others, You keep me hidden in your online presence, You respond to anyone who catches eyes with you, You put yourself above all else, Our family on the brink of death, All because you stopped trying, All because you push me away. When I asked you, you said yes, I bore my heart, and you said yes, I gave my soul, and you said yes, I built our life, and you said yes. I've always given you all my truth, You never returned the favor, All this time you felt chained down, I had no idea, you said yes. I love you more than I think I should, You're my everything, Apparently that was too much love, Rather get cat called by single men, I can't comprehend why you would do this, To me, the kids, the dogs, our families, You say I made you compromise your beliefs, And you want to try to work this out, Only solution you give, Is for me to compromise my beliefs. When I asked you, you said yes, I bore my heart, and you said yes, I gave my soul, and you said yes, I built our life, and you said yes. I want you for who you are, Or who I thought you were, I can't just be your second choice, When your first is social media. Endless contact with other men, You barely talk, touch, or acknowledge me. I can't even find myself inside, Broken, torn, like a zombie. I feel dead. Not sure what will happen now, Chaos fills the peace, I want my life in loving order, I fear I've lost that chance. When I asked you, you said yes, I bore my heart, and you said yes, I gave my soul, and you said yes, I built our life, and you said yes.
