Torture

Stab me with the defiance of ego!
Skin me from the reliance of sorrow!
Hang me within the compliance of the Borough!
Burn me in silence. Still, I'll never, ever follow!

Follow which roads that have been paved.
Men-made for whom we know nothing of the past we have saved.
Stick me with black and white while hiding colours from my face.
Forcing a masked will only set these flags ablaze.

I am but a drop of Ocean, weathered in Silenced of the breeze.
Do not mistake this silence for compliance at ease.
Bargaining for minds and put our breaths up for lease.
Only cutting us down from our roots, piece by piece.
