Torn Sonnet
torn sonnet
We fell asleep while singing,
then you tell me only I did, I did,
in useless murky glow.
You were fine till last sip,
then you said I was Europe,
and he was New Mexico.
You said you were aware.
Then you realised you weren't there.
Then you blame the whisky,
the whisky was nowhere.
You saw my eyes were intoxicant.
There was harm in my stare.
Then you blame the whisky.
The whisky was in the air
