Torn

as I pull you closer
you push farther away
and they tell me that
tomorrow is another day
and I should pick my chin
up off the floor
as you don't text, don't answer, and ignore
me just like the day before
I guess you just
think of me as your whore
an object without feelings, without love, without pain
you don't care about me
it's always the same
another chip from my broken heart
I just lay and cry on the floor
unrequited forever, shattered, and torn

Evelyn no man should have that much power over you . As a poem it is great. Anne
