Tell me true, baby, am I the one you adore?
Who knew you’d be here next to me
Well, I, too, want liberty forevermore 
I flew into your arms so I can be free

I stand still in the dead of night
In the weeds of the sea light
I understand you will, with your might,
Save me from myself…although I’m so uptight

I’m too far below you
That I’m tired of trying
I’m too far beneath the waves
Of oblivion and strife
Tired of this abyssal life
Sick of getting stabbed by the same knife
Of long, long lost love…
Too, too, too far below
Like a wingless dove
Must let go, I know

Afraid to change in front of you
It’s too strange to forgive the rue
