Took To the Dog Pound

I woke up one morning and there was no sound
As I got out of bed I looked at the ground

He wasn't there where was my dog
I looked in the rain and searched in the fog

I couldn't find him so I looked by the bay
And then I just relized he got taken away

You spin a very witty yarn, Chris! I'll bet your dog was glad to see you arrive at the pound. I love poems about pets; these loyal companions mean a great deal to the people "they own." Love, Carolyn

You express well the confusion and sadness of the story in this poem. Well done, Smiles from Lolita
