Too Muchto Take

There’s so much on my mind,
There’s too much to take.
The thought of it all,
Enough for a mind to break.
I haven’t eaten in days,
I haven’t slept in weeks.
Deaf ears hear me pray,
It’s too much to take.
I’ve fallen so hard,
On troubled times.
Life dealt a bad card,
It’s too much to take.
Can you see me,
Can you see my pose?
Becoming a deity,
You watch me in my throes.
I want something in return,
Anything I will take.
Waiting forever I learn,
This was a mistake.
It’s too much to take.

People don't understand about depression. They think, just buck up and make better decision. Oh, if it was that easy. Thanks for the poem.

Oh absolutely. If it was that easy then none of us would be afflicted by the madness. Thank you for reading.
