Too Much Talk

Too much talk about quality of death,
And NOT ENOUGH talk about quality of Life,
Too much talk about death,
And NOT ENOUGH about Life.

Too much talk about helping kids,
And NOT ENOUGH about helping Parents,
Too much talk about parents not upsetting kids,
And NOT ENOUGH about kids upsetting Parents.

Too much talk about pleasing everyone,
And NOT ENOUGH about pleasing Someone.
Too much talk about everyone,
And NOT ENOUGH about Someone.

Too much talk about what is average,
And NOT ENOUGH about the majority who are Not,
Too much talk about who is average,
And NOT ENOUGH about the majority who are Not.

Too much talk with those who won't listen,
And NOT ENOUGH with those who Will,
Too much talk about those who don't listen,
And NOT ENOUGH about those who Will.

Too much talk in general,
And NOT ENOUGH in Fact,
Too much talk that is general,
And NOT ENOUGH about the Fact,
That we need MORE LISTENING to find out the Fact,
That there is TOO MUCH talking,
And that is a FACT,
We WILL FAIL TO FIND with TOO MUCH TALKING.

It really would not take much to improve quality of life for many. All we can do is keep pushing back and complaining about hard to open containers etc. and enjoying good poetry. Regards David in NZ
