Too Many To Choose
Who would guess my eagerness
to check in daily on the Soup,
and see what poem is on my screen
The warm embrace, that travels space
And brings me happy hours
There is power in the love that pours
From this unlikely place
Seeping in between the lines,
I feel I know each friendly face
How could I choose just one?
Impossible....it can't be done!
Their praise intermingled with loving
With gentle, advice, smiling and kind
Taking time to listen,
Writing their words that make eyes glisten
They offer words to soothe a troubled soul
Or warm a spirit with cheerful, encouragement,
Adding pleasure to an ordinary day.
In a vast and troubled world
While pace of life,
Time, money and strife
Often tear apart the underpinnings
Of daily life
Who are these strangers
With such open hearts and willing purpose
Willing to reach across an unseen space
And lift the hearts of friends they've never met?
Never met,.......outside the Internet.
