Too Many Rivers

Rivers ran around her life, she never crossed them but one. That one river was narrow and slow it allowed her to go to another town where she met a handsome barkeep, who's life, like hers, had been shut-in by rivers. Turns out there were many bridges and roads many ways to cross over, but they dared not. Over beers they feel in love; discussed long-term relationships, however, it could not be... there were just too many rivers between her barstool and the bar.
