Too Many Dark Nights

The day was ending but her pain just beginning Her thoughts were threatening And her screams were deafening The lights went low But her mind started to go Her journey had been long And everything she said was wrong No one had noticed her thoughts Are what truly tied the knots Of the rope that was hung On that one little rung That would take a girl's light After too many dark nights
