Too Many Chances

[In the UK, the BBC is funded by an annual TV licence. They offer the viewer plenty of ‘another chance to see’, but definitely, absolutely definitely, no repeats... that would never do!] ***
Just one more repeat on the BBC Which they call another chance to see Is that what we get for the licence fee As well as some geezer questioning me He said I’ll need confirmation from you That you can produce your ‘licence to view’ I gave him my licence all tattered and torn He said what is this, don't treat me with scorn I said it’s my licence from twenty-o-three Why don’t we call it... another chance to see?

Thanks Jan. TV has been appalling during this pandemic. The government want us to stay in and yet state funded (er, public funded) TV seems to want to drive us out. Just how many times are we supposed to watch Tiddles get rehomed? Glad you enjoyed, Terry

What a terrific punch line, Terry! Support of public broadcasting is voluntary here, but many networks air the same movies over and over again. How many times can you watch "Overboard"? Love the clever way you made your point. Hugs, Carolyn

I never saw "Little Shop of Horrors," so I need to see it now! Love the line about plant food. I would rather go into a trance than watch "Robocop."

Thank you Carolyn. There’s some movies I could watch over and over, but please... Robocop? Again? And yet one of my favourite movies - because it’s plain bonkers - Little Shop of Horrors (musical) is never, ever shown. Any script that includes the line ‘The guy sure looks like plant food to me’’ can’t be all bad. Thanks again. Terry
