Too Long

Falling down, far off ground,
Shouts and screams all around.
How we hold, feelings cold,
Our words were much too bold.

Off topic, no logic,
Like a broken lyric.
Staring eyes, how time flies,
Everything around us dies.

Hands unfold, separate world,
Walking a different road.
Feel the breeze, on your knees,
Time just seems to freeze.

Darkness claws, emotion falls,
Between us are empty walls.
Try to shout, whine and pout,
But what’s it all about?

Cowering alone, bricks and stone,
Worn and weak to the bone.
Move along, become strong,
This time was much too long…
