Too Late To Cry

Time has passed, and the sharpness of the ache has dulled. I can think clearly, now. I can smile and even laugh, again. But sometimes in the darkest hours, when I need the rest to face another day, I’m awakened by the sound of my own sobbing.

Powerful Haibun, with the prologue as poetically effecting as the verse.

Yes you are right. And we are complex creatures...with intellect and soul. Sometimes our mind is made up that we are done grieving but the soul takes far longer to heal.

Hi my friend, it seems you have found the way through your sadness and depression which we all have experienced from time to time, but unfortunately we do have lapses, it is inevitable. A wonderful, meaningful 3 line poem preceded by a heartfelt explanation. Hugs and Blessings, Jennifer.
