Too Late

Pay Attention
and you shall see
the light that shines
inside of me.
Look closer
in my eyes
where all emotion
in me lies.
But you were elsewhere
and you were blind.
You never saw
the pain in me climb.
Look at me now
after all the pain.
After all the clues
I gave you, in vain.
And now, see me
as I say goodbye.
It's too late now as I lay here and slowly die.
