Too Hot, Too Cold

Too Hot, Too Cold

Streets hotter than Hell
Asphalt bubbling like lava
Water evaporates before your eyes
Steam rises as it cooks the air
There is thunder and lightning far away
Cooling rain falls miles away
There is no hope as you roast in the sun
Snow is still six months away
Yet we dream of the cold northern winds
Ice and slippery roads
Being snowed in for weeks at a time
When it comes we complain and wish for the sun
And the whole thing starts again
