Too Far

He’s looking good,
Just like I should.
He can make me shine like a star,
And make me forget about my past scar.

I know I’m not good enough,
And he’s looking all buff.
With him I have no luck,
In the friend I am stuck.

I know he can treat me right,
And show me light.
But I’m not in his story,
He’s got his own glory.

He makes me feel lost,
And he’s got me crossed.
He’s got me racing like a car,
But he’s just too far.
