Tonight's Lamp

This book it tells a fevered story
As I read before the fire’s warmth
I see flames rise from a singed page
They turn the dog earned ones for me

As I read before the fire’s warmth
Flickering hands reach outward
They turn the dog earned ones for me
So does the story burn and turn

Flickering hands reach outward
I see flames rise from a singed page
So does the story burn and turn
This book it tells a fevered story
