Tomorrow's Poem

Deep within me breathes a poem, it's words unformed unsaid. Yet the rhythm beats and sings and grows, deep inside my head.

When the muse visits, I tell him he can wake me up any time he wishes, and stay as long as he wants. I never sleep more than 4 or 5 hours a night anyway. At age 78, I have more important things to do before God calls me home.

Happens to me all the time. I email it to myself or I might forget it. Hugs Tim

Hi, Tim, I glad you could identify with my poem. I pray that an awareness of a new poem coming, percolating, brewing inside us never stops. because it is such a wonderful feeling. Like a new adventure. And yes, if we don't capture those first few thoughts, how quickly they vanish. Thank you for taking the time to read my poem. I appreciate it since this is only my first few days here and I'm just finding my way around. Now I in turn will go read one of your poems.
