Tomorrows Flight

Pour, into my cup, come in the slumbers of dawn Cast away the ash and sackcloth, granted life The pheonix landed to visit awhile Tomorrow the bird takes flight ©2016 Bonnie Jennings

Hi Bonnie, I love your poetry. Tomorrows flight is great. The form should be Quatrain not Rubaiyat. . Poetry soup has a good example for rubaiyat....Pashang

Hi Bonnie, All Rubaiyat is quatrain, but not all quatrains are Rubaiyat. The Soup has this explanation: In each quatrain, all lines rhyme except the third, leading to this pattern: a.... a - 2nd line rhymes with the first. b.... a - 4th line rhymes with the first and second I am so glad that you are reading Persian poets....Pashang

Passing, first thank you so much for reading, contemplating, and responding. I do so much appreciate... I read Omar Khyamm and tried my best to think and write like him, one of the greatest poets that has ever lived... Thank you so much...
