Tomorrows Dress Themselves

Tomorrows dress themselves in hopes and dreams.
But as we prance toward them, are we keeping our minds open?
Or are we dragging unbidden negativity along for the ride?
Hopefully we are bringing our feathered boa optimistic self

Too much luggage, too much strife? Now, wait a second.
Didn’t that make us more resilient? Teaching us to persevere?
Allowing us opportunities to use or wisdom and see our strength?
Was this luggage not helpful in revitalizing us to reach new heights?

Our existence thrives around potholes, car wrecks, and disappointments
Because they give us insight into how resilient and remarkable we are.
Tornadoes, floods and earthquakes add to the ambiance of our core self.
As we squelch our fear of such things, we grow more true and stronger.

Flirting with impossible fantasies of hope and optimism? Of course you are!
You have battled a giant and beast of something or another. We all have.
Perhaps you have conquered drugs, alcoholism, or an abusive partner.
Whatever you have conquered will aid in your ability to master tomorrow.
