Tomorrow Is Promising
Focusing on what might’ve been is a tedious affair
Worrisome, too, and, shall I say, quite problematic,
For what might’ve been is obviously a tricky lair
I am convinced it’s the farthest thing from pragmatic.

Not having a clear vision of where we are going,
I am convinced it’s the farthest thing from pragmatic
Paying little attention to the seeds we are sowing.
Not having a clear vision of where we are going,
Hurtling through our days thinking about yesterday
Paying little attention to the seeds we are sowing
Keep in mind we move steadily toward a new day.
Hurtling through our days thinking about yesterday
Instead of making more of today, and days to come
Keep in mind we move steadily toward a new day
Tomorrow is promising, why to the past succumb?
