"tomorrow"

by James(PoetforChrist)Heath

IN THAT PLACE WHERE
HER THIGHS MERGE INTO
THE ABYSS OF HER ESSENCE
SHE INVITED HIM
THINKING, NO...KNOWING,
THAT THIS WAS THE ONE
THAT GOD HAD SENT
YEAH, YEAH SHE KNEW
THAT'S WHAT SHE THOUGHT
YESTERDAY....AND THE DAY
BEFORE THAT....AND SO MANY
DAYS BEFORE THAT. BUT
THIS TIME SHE WAS SURE...
OF THE SIGN
AND YEAH, SHE KNEW THAT SHE
HAD SEEN THE SIGNS
BEFORE, OR THOUGHT THEY
WERE...THE SIGNS
BUT THIS TIME THEY
CAME WITH...A FEELING
I MEAN, IT "HAS TO BE"
THIS ONE...THOUGH SHE
KNEW SHE HAD HAD
THOSE FEELINGS...BEFORE
THIS ONE WAS SO
DAMN FINE, SHE THOUGHT
AS SHE MET HIS STROKE
THIS ONE LOVES ME...
HOW ELSE COULD HE FEEL SO
GOOD
SHE THOUGHT, AS SHE ARCHED
TO BRING HIM DEEPER
INTO HER ABYSS
AND AS THE SUN TURNED
INTO THE MOON, AND SHE
WAS ALONE..........AGAIN,
SHE THOUGHT, I KNOW
THAT GOD WILL SEND
HIM....
TOMORROW!

James, you wrote a pocket full of poems and left us in limbo. Hope all is well with you. Love, Carol
